About this programme
This self-paced CPD programme develops coaches' reflexive awareness—their ability to notice and work consciously with their own assumptions, emotional responses, embodied signals, and ethical positioning when working with burnout, trauma-adjacent, or emotionally complex material. The course draws on psychodynamic theory, systemic perspectives, and embodied awareness practices to help coaches recognise how their own unconscious dynamics, lived experiences, and systemic influences shape coaching interactions. Participants learn practical applications of concepts including transference and countertransference, parallel process, projection, containment, and whole object thinking, alongside reflective inquiry methods to support client integration and autonomy. The programme uses the Seven-Eyed Model and the Reflexive Coach Compass as core frameworks for self-inquiry and is designed to build emotional intelligence, relational awareness, and ethical responsiveness within the coaching relationship. Delivered by Balanceology, a provider specialising in burnout prevention, the course is oriented toward ICF Core Competencies around ethical practice, coaching mindset, trust, presence, and active listening.
